too much noise (darkness and light, part deux)

well, cccatherine's comments made me think of some other questions (don't worry, i'm not going to comment everytime someone posts something, but i thought this was important). at one point she states that one reason she didn't follow that right objective was that,
  • "i didnt hear tory."

she's right - there was a lot of noise and tory was hard to hear, especially since people didn't know who to listen to. it can be like that at times for us with god. god can be speaking to us, but we don't hear him, because there's too much "noise." other things keep us from really listening, or maybe you don't know what you're listening for.

  • what is the "noise" in your life? in other words, what drowns out god speaking to you?
  • what are ways that god can speak to you?
  • when you are making choices, who do you listen to?

look up the following verse:

Psalm 46:10, if you don't have a bible, there's a link to a website called biblegateway.com on the left. you can use that.

what do you think that verse means?

i am proud i made you think of something.

i'm tired, and seriously i can't think straight, but my gut is telling me that it has something to do about how we act. like that we shouldn't do things just because everyone else is but we should go them by how we feel and use God as something that we strive for.
i don't know, use it as like a goal.

like how some people when they want to lose weight buy a pair of jeans that they really like but they know are too small and work their way into them by diet and excersice.

k, i may be way off but whatever.
that's what i think.

just so you know, this isn't a test, it's not like i'm looking for certain answers, or things have to be right...just getting you to think about things a little deeper and how it might play out in your lives.
